According to statistics released by the Belgian Steel Federation (GSV), Belgium's crude steel output totaled 1.77 million tons in the second quarter of this year, down by 6% year on year and falling by 3.4% from the previous quarter.
In the given period of time, the country's production of hot rolled coils (HRC) totaled 1.8 million tons, decreasing by 9%; that of cold rolled coils (CRC) was at 1.2 million tons, rising by 6%, both compared to the figures in the same period of the previous year.
